PagePen does not collect any personal information. We do not collect:

Names, emails, or contact information
Browsing history or page content
Usage analytics or tracking data

2. Local Storage

PagePen uses the browser's built-in window.localStorage (scoped to the current page's origin) solely to save your preferences such as:

Toolbar position (floating, pinned left, pinned right)
Default drawing settings (color, stroke width, opacity)

This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any server.

3. Permissions

PagePen requests the following browser permissions:

activeTab: To overlay the drawing canvas on the current webpage when you click the extension icon
scripting: To inject the drawing tools into the active tab
downloads: To save annotated screenshots as PNG files to your device when you click the Save button

4. Screenshots

When you use the screenshot feature, the captured image is processed entirely within your browser and saved directly to your device. No image data is uploaded or shared.

5. Third-Party Services

PagePen does not use any third-party services, APIs, analytics, or advertising platforms.
